So why you should consider preparing for law school?
Carefully consider these facts:
- The number of law schools has drastically increased over the last 20 years which means more people are graduating from law school than ever before.
- The number medium and high-paying jobs has not increased at the same rate as the graduation rate.
- Your GPA will typically be the single most important factor in obtaining a job offer when you graduate.
- Your GPA after the first semester will not usually change significantly for the next 3 years. Your very first semester will typically establish your GPA
- Academically speaking, the first year of law school will be like nothing you have ever experienced before! Classroom instruction often is replaced with questioning by the professor and textbooks are replaced with casebooks that often do not clearly outline the legal concepts that are tested.
- In most law school classes, your final exam is 100% of your final grade in that class.
- Most law schools grade on a “curve” ... which means typically, the number of As given in any particular class is strictly limited. Furthermore, the curve is usually significantly lower for first year students.
- You can prepare for your first year of law school in order to have a competitive advantage.
